PRINT MANAGEMENT

SUCCESS STORY

The American Institutes for Research (AIR) is one of the largest behavior and social science research organizations in the world. Their objective was to deliver academic testing results to all students in grades three through eight across an entire state within two weeks after receipt of the results. They also wanted to deliver those testing results in an attractive, highly-personalized manner that would engage parents and provide greater meaning to students.

To accomplish these objectives, AIR needed more than four million pages, each containing unique data, printed in full color, packaged and delivered to 3,700 locations, all within that two-week deadline, which was mandated by state law.

This monumental variable data printing project was greeted with enthusiasm, and extraordinary planning, by Mercury Printing's parent company, Consolidated Graphics (CGX). With the largest installed capacity of Xerox iGen3 presses in the industry, we were perhaps AIR's only option for this project, and certainly the best one.

After being awarded the project, we immediately marshaled our resources and began the meticulous preparations to ensure flawless execution.
