METALFX TECH TIPS
Avoid Bright Red Effects Be cautious when using MetalFX® with a bright red color. The silver base coat can change red hues significantly. You will notice that there are no bright reds in the MetalFX Base Silver swatch book (see MFX1178, MFX1190 and MFX1200). We recommend keeping bright red as a process color and surrounding it with MetalFX colors for best results.
Black and Silver Look Great, But... Metallic colors can look great next to black, but be careful. A lot of black in an continuous tone image can absorb light away from the MetalFX color areas, giving a somewhat "muddy" look. Incorporate black sparingly and avoid combining black with the silver base coat, except when that "dull" effect is expressly what you are seeking.
Bright, Clean and Reflective We recommend using images with a healthy mix of white space. The contrast of white paper with MetalFX attracts light to the image and gives a clean, striking result.
