PREPARING FOR PRINT

To prevent printing delays or problems, be sure to include all linked images and fonts that are used in your document, even if the images have been embedded in the file. If a PDF is being used for final output, make sure that all fonts are embedded. Double-check to ensure that all images are of sufficient resolution for the output desired.

If your printed piece has text, images, or background that runs off of the finished page, please include a bleed of at least 1/8 inch to allow for trim.

Applied stylized fonts (applying italic, bold, or bold-italic attributes to fonts in the menu of your layout program) can lead to problems. Instead, use the font that is the desired style, (use the Helvetica Bold font instead of applying a bold attribute to Helvetica Book font).

If your job is printing in four-color process, make sure that the graphics imported from other sources are CMYK process builds, not spot colors. Conversely, if your job is printing with spot colors, make sure the vector graphics imported from other sources are not CMYK builds.

We prefer that you do not trap your files, as our prepress processes will automatically set the appropriate trap for the specified output equipment.

Provide a printed hard copy of your project.
